At the completion of a year long St. Elmo Artist-in-Residence at UT Austin Merideth Hillbrand ’19 mounted a solo exhibition at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center’s McDermott Learning Center. Some Fields the Track Runs Through is up through September 30, 2020. Hillbrand continued her ongoing research into the history and relationships between art, architecture, botany and gardens. Her newest body of work made during the residency include formed metal lamps and tête-à-tête benches that encourage viewers to sit, read and interact with one another.
